Hi, I’m Youness
I am a software engineer working on open source and digital preservation at the Université libre de Bruxelles. I build the systems that host, protect and archive research data and digital heritage collections, which means backend architecture, data pipelines and CI/CD built for continuity measured in decades.
I came to preservation from research on open-source ecosystems, where I wrote ghmap and learned to treat developer data as an engineering problem rather than a reporting one.
What I care about is work that lands. A result nobody can use is not finished.
